On a very sunny and very warm last day of Apr, 36 RAFGS golfers assembled at Luffenham Heath golf Club for the Spring Meeting. The course was presented in fantastic condition for our 2 rounds.
Many congratulations go to Marian Eymur who won with a magnificent 40 points, but as she is an Affiliate member, the Elizabeth Singer Trophy went to Darren Kups who retains the trophy he won last year. Darren's 39pts was the same as John Pearce but Darren had a better back 9 so wins on count back. 4th place went to Rick Lipscomb who, with 38pts, edged Tom Brisbane on count back.
The pm Londonderry Cups Greensomes event was won by Gary Cook and Phil Gough with a very competitive 42pts, just edging Nigel Dowdall and Jenny Smale (41pts) and Dave Holmes and Trevor Grant (40pts).
Our thanks again go to LHGC who hosted us well and presented a very playable course in superb condition.
