*Previously the Senior Veteran category was for golfers over 75;  in recent years there had been very few entrants in this age group and in 2025 the age limit was changed to over 70.

Our most important event of the year is the Championship Meeting, which will again be held in the magnificent setting of Moor Park Golf Club.

The format for the Championship is a 36 hole Medal competition, with 18 holes over the High Course in the morning and 18 holes over the West Course in the afternoon. The day starts with coffee and bacon rolls, with a lunch of sandwiches and chips between the two rounds. Prize-giving follows as soon as possible after the last group complete their afternoon round.

We are looked after very well at Moor Park, which itself has strong military connections having being the centre for the planning of Operation Market Garden during the Second World War - the history on display in the aptly named Arnhem Room is fascinating. This is a very enjoyable day playing over two excellent courses in a marvellous setting and we look forward to the usual large entry.
